Betfred agrees Broncos partnership

News

National Football League franchise the Denver Broncos has announced in its second sports betting deal in as many days, with Betfred US becoming its latest official partner.

This will see the operator open a sports betting lounge near the Broncos’ Mile High Stadium.

The announcement comes as Betfred opens a sportsbook at Saratoga Casino in Black Hawk, Colorado today (June 17).

“We’re extremely proud of our partnership with Saratoga and are excited to be part of the rich gaming community in Black Hawk,” Bryan Bennett, chief operating officer of Betfred USA Sports, said.

“We knew we needed to be aggressive upon entering the Colorado market with a Vegas-quality sportsbook and a sponsorship agreement with the Denver Broncos, one of the premier franchises in US sports. We look forward to launching our online platform right before football season.”

The agreement will also include media marketing opportunities and signage at the Broncos’ stadium.

“Betfred’s combination of a physical sportsbook at Saratoga Casino, extensive retail offerings in Europe and an upcoming online offering make them an organization we think Broncos fans will enjoy engaging with,” Broncos chief commercial officer Mac Freeman said. “They are relatively new to Colorado and are enthusiastic to be a part of gameday at Empower Field at Mile High.”

Commenting on the launch of Betfred’s Colorado sportsbook, meanwhile, Saratoga Casino vice president of business development Sam Gerrity described Betfred was an ideal partner for the casino.

“We could not be happier with our partnership with Betfred and its decades of retail and online sports betting experience,” Gerrity said. “Saratoga strives to deliver a premium guest experience, and we believe the Betfred sportsbook continues to build on that promise.”

The deal follows the announcement yesterday that FanDuel will become an official sports betting and daily fantasy partner of the Broncos, the first sports betting partnership announced for an NFL team since the league allowed teams to sign up sports betting partners this year.

Other operators have struck partnerships with teams in the league, though these only covered casino products.
