Betfred is to enter the Las Vegas gaming market for the first time after being named as the sportsbook partner of the new Mohegan Sun Casino property in the Nevada city.
The sportsbook will be located within the 60,000-square foot Mohegan Sun Casino at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas when it opens later this year, with an online sports betting product also to be offered.
The Betfred Sports branded sportsbook inside the property will include luxury seating, a state-of-the-art video wall, over-the-counter wagering and self-serve kiosks.
“We’re excited to work with Betfred, one of the leading sportsbook operators in the UK and Europe,” said Aviram Alroy, vice president of interactive gaming at Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment (MGE).
“Our affiliation will introduce new and attractive competition to the Las Vegas market. Betfred will create a seamless and best-in-class experience on our gaming floor, which will cater to both domestic and international visitors.”
Mohegan Sun Casino Las Vegas’ eight-month renovation is currently underway, and the venue is slated to open in autumn 2020.

The deal is Betfred USA Sports’ first in Nevada – where it has set up an office – and fourth since Betfred Group entered the market in 2019, following partnerships in Iowa, Colorado, and Pennsylvania.
Betfred signed its first US deal in July 2019 when it partnered with the Elite Casino Resort-owned Grand Falls Casino Resort in Iowa. It is also associated with Wind Creek Casino & Resort Bethlehem in Pennsylvania and Saratoga Casino in Black Hawk, Colorado.
Betfred recently became a partner of Colorado-based National Football League (NFL) franchise the Denver Broncos.
