BetMGM and Liv Hospitality set to bring sports betting to South Dakota

News

Igaming operator BetMGM has partnered with Liv Hospitality’s resorts in South Dakota to bring retail and mobile sports betting to the state.

The exclusive deal will see BetMGM work with Liv Hospitality’s Tin Lizzie Gaming Resort and Cadillac Jack’s Gaming Resort in Deadwood, South Dakota. The Deadwood Sports Betting Legalization Amendment was approved by voters back in 2020, legalizing sports betting statewide.

After gaining the necessary regulatory approval, the BetMGM app will be available in Tin Lizzie and Cadillac Jack from next month. It will be accompanied by a retail BetMGM Sportsbook equipped with kiosks and counter wagering.

BetMGM CEO Adam Greenblat said: “Liv Hospitality’s prime resort locations in Deadwood make it an ideal partner for us. Together, we look forward to bringing the BetMGM sports betting experience to South Dakota sports fans.”

BetMGM recently ventured into the Arizona market via partnerships with Gila Rivers and the Arizona Cardinals.

Liv Hospitality CEO Caleb Arceneaux added: “BetMGM is an outstanding organization that brings credibility to our new sports betting offerings. Visitors now have another reason to come to Deadwood, while enjoying the many other entertainment opportunities at our resorts.”
