BetMGM launches new sports betting experience with Buffalo Wild Wings

News

BetMGM, the joint venture between MGM resorts and Entain, has launched a new sports betting experience in partnership with Buffalo Wild Wings sports bars in Colorado, New Jersey, Indiana, Iowa, Tennessee and West Virginia.

Billed as an industry-first, the initiative will see BetMGM customers that use the sports wagering app while physically located inside Buffalo Wild Wings outlets gain access to a range of special offers and bets.

This will include curated boosts, bets and parlay bets, as well as a new ‘Blazin’ Bets’ in-app feature, in states where mobile sports betting is legal.

To support the venture, Buffalo Wild Wings has launched an in-bar channel in the form of ‘OT Odds Powered by BetMGM’, which will deliver sports betting content such as live game odds, as well as fantasy and betting advice.

In addition, BetMGM has upgraded the Buffalo Wild Wings’ Picks and Props free-to-play game, with players now having access to an updated parlay-style gameplay.

BetMGM has been working with Buffalo Wild Wings since September 2019, in a multi-year strategic partnership that has seen more than 500,000 users take part participated in free-to-play games.

“Our partnership with Buffalo Wild Wings is incredibly innovative and allows BetMGM to redefine how fans enjoy sports,” BetMGM chief revenue officer Matt Prevost said.

“The introduction of geolocation technology to offer bettors a customised experience in a Buffalo Wild Wings location is a great example of what we’re able to activate through this ground-breaking relationship.”

Buffalo Wild Wings chief marketing officer Rita Patel added: “Fans wagering on sports inside Buffalo Wild Wings can now win bigger on select bets thanks to our innovative partnership with BetMGM.

“As sports betting continues to grow throughout the country, we look forward to further expanding our footprint in the space and activating our partnership with BetMGM in ways that make the experience at our sports bars second to none.”
