Boyd launches new mobile sportsbook in Nevada

News

Casino operator Boyd Gaming has announced the launch of a new mobile sports wagering app in the state of Nevada.

The B Connected Sports app will operate under the same name of Boyd’s existing mobile offering in Nevada, but will now run on International Game Technology’s (IGT’s) PlaySports solution.

The upgraded B Connected Sports app shares a brand with the operator’s loyalty program, which offers a range of benefits to customers, such as VIP experiences and room rate discounts at Boyd’s properties across the US.

Consumers using the app can place pre-match and in-play wagers on sports such as football, basketball, baseball, hockey, tennis, golf, motor racing, darts and rugby.

Horse racing betting options will also be added, pending regulatory approval in the state, though consumers can still place racing wagers via Boyd’s existing B Connected sports app in Nevada.

“Mobile and in-play sports betting are more popular than ever, so the new and improved B Connected Sports app comes at the perfect time,” Boyd’s vice president of race and sports operations, Bob Scucci, said.

“With B Connected Sports, we’ve created a mobile experience that is both easy-to-use and unrivaled in its selection of betting options, making it one of the most robust sports betting products in the state of Nevada.”

The launch comes after Boyd earlier this month linked up with FanDuel Group to also roll out a new online mobile and retail sports betting offering in Illinois.

The FanDuel Par-A-Dice Sportsbook offering allows players in the state to wager on sports such as football, basketball, baseball and ice hockey.
