CDI launches BetAmerica online sportsbook in Indiana

News

Churchill Downs Incorporated (CDI) has announced that its BetAmerica-branded online sportsbook has launched in Indiana.

The move follows the launch of the BetAmerica retail sportsbook at Full House Resorts’ Rising Star Casino Resort in Rising Sun, Indiana. The deal was facilitated by an agreement struck between CDI and Full House Resorts in September 2019.

Under the deal, Churchill Downs Interactive would also be allowed to offer sports betting at Full House Resorts’ Bronco Billy’s Casino and Hotel in Cripple Creek, Colorado when sports betting launches in the state.

BetAmerica president Ian Williams said the launch of the online offering would allow BetAmerica to reach an audience of players across the entire state.

“We are excited to offer our online BetAmerica Sportsbook to sports betting fans throughout Indiana,” Williams said. “Indiana sports enthusiasts can now enjoy placing bets, including in-game betting and super odds boosts, through the online BetAmerica Sportsbook.”

Under its deal with Full House,  Churchill Downs Interactive would also be allowed to offer sports betting at Full House Resorts’ Bronco Billy’s Casino and Hotel in Cripple Creek, Colorado when sports betting launches in the state.

Governor Eric Holcomb signed Indiana’s sports betting bill into law in May, allowing betting across a range of professional and collegiate sports, and sports betting in the state launched on 1 September 2019.

Although online sports betting was also legal from 1 September, but it took more than a month before any operator gained permission from the Indiana Gaming Commission to go live with their online product, when Rush Street Interactive launched in October.

Churchill Downs also launched its BetAmerica online sportsbook in Pennsylvania, going live in December 2019.
