Century partners bet365 for online sports betting in Colorado

News

US casino operator Century Casinos has agreed a deal for online gambling giant bet365 to become its online sports betting partner in the state of Colorado.

Under the 10-year agreement, Century will operate an internet and mobile sports betting application under the bet365 brand, subject to bet365 securing regulatory approval to launch in the state.

The deal includes a minimum annual revenue guarantee and a percentage share of net gaming revenue payable to Century each year, with an advance fee also being paid on contract signing.

Last month, Century secured master licenses in Colorado for its Central City and Cripple Creek properties. The licenses allow operators to work with a licensed retail sportsbook, a licensed online sportsbook or a licensee that offers both.

In February, Century also agreed a deal with Las Vegas-based sports betting brand Circa Sports to launch online sports wagering services in Colorado.

The 15-year agreement permits Circa Sports to roll out its mobile sports betting application in the state, in association with one of Century’s master licenses. The app had been expected to launch on or around May 1, 2020.

However, Century said the agreement with bet365 means it still has one more master license available for an internet sports betting partnership in the state.
