Century reopens Missouri casinos

News

Century Casinos has reopened two of its venues in Missouri, as well as restarting online off-track betting operations in Alberta County.

Both the Century Casino Cape Girardeau and the Century Casino Caruthersville resumed operations on 1 June after more than two months of closure to limit the spread of novel coronavirus (Covid-19).

The operator said it implemented “comprehensive and state-specific safety and social distancing protocols”  prior to reopening.

These include encouraging the wearing of masks, placement of additional hand sanitizer dispensers and a smoking ban in many areas, including at gaming tables and in queuing areas.

Customers who display a temperature above 100.4 degrees fahrenheit (38 degrees celsius) will not be permitted to enter.

Currently, only gaming machines are available, while table games at the venues will begin on 4 June.

Meanwhile the operator’s online pari-mutuel off-track horse betting networks in Alberta are now active and also accessible on mobile devices.

Casinos in Louisiana and Mississippi opened last month, while those in Nevada will be permitted to reopen on 4 June.
