Champion to boost Football Outsiders’ betting content with SharpRank deal

News

Sports betting ratings agency SharpRank has partnered with Champion Gaming, the new owner of EdjSports and its Football Outsiders brand, in an effort to enhance the betting offerings on the sites.

Champion acquired EdjSports and Football Outsiders earlier this month and the deal forms part of its effort to focus further on betting.

The agreement will see SharpRank – which provides records of tipsters’ past betting picks and record – make use of EdjSports’ websites and apps to improve content and promote verified insights on the both platforms.

In turn, EdjSports will use SharpRank data to advertise information to consumers and improve user experience.

“EdjSports has always been at the forefront of the sports betting analytics revolution, and we are excited to continue this tradition by partnering with SharpRank in order to continue to deliver the highest quality unbiased and transparent insights for our users,” said Ken Hershman, co-founder and CEO of Champion Gaming.

The move comes in relation to several companies taking strategic positions as more market transparency is implemented throughout the industry.

“SharpRank is thrilled to partner with Champion Gaming and EdjSports to help deliver an incredibly intelligent and intuitive platform,” said Chris Adams, founder and CEO of SharpRank.

“As we think about partnerships, we look for a few critical attributes – team, tech, innovation, rippling effects. Champion Gaming and EdjSports check all of those boxes.  We are complementary to analytics companies, media outlets, sportsbooks- not competitors.”
