Gambling.com Group cleared to launch in Illinois and Tennessee

News

Affiliate marketing giant Gambling.com Group has secured approval to roll out its services in Illinois and Tennessee.

KAX Media America, the group’s US subsidiary, has received a license from the Sports Wagering Committee of the Tennessee Education Lottery Corporation to provide marketing services in the state.

Initially valid for three years, the license is effective immediately and will enable the group to partner licensed sportsbook operators to drive traffic.

In Illinois, meanwhile, its license will allow the business to provide consumers with reviews of online sports betting operators via its flagship Gambling.com website and US-focused Bookies.com.

“The group’s latest approvals, expanding into new states, mark yet another milestone in our US strategy,” Gambling.com Group’s vice president of US business, Max Bichsel, said.

“We are excited to begin offering our services in the Volunteer State, which has the potential to be a leader in mobile sports betting, while Illinois represents the sheer scale the US market offers the gaming industry.”

Gambling.com Group is also approved to offer its services to betting operators in Colorado, Indiana, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

The latest approvals come after Gambling.com Group earlier this month reported a €2.8m (£2.5m/$3.3m) net profit for its third quarter, primarily due to a strong performance from its organic traffic services, which helped to drive revenue up 52.2% year-on-year.
