Gambling.com Group unveils new RG resource hub

News

Affiliate marketing specialist Gambling.com Group has launched Responsible Gambling Center, a new portfolio of resources aimed at combatting problem gambling and related harm.

The new resources, Gambling.com Group said, have been designed to help people recognize problematic behaviour early and provide access to support groups and organizations in the markets where it operates.

The Responsible Gambling Center will be divided into three sections, which will focus on education, guidance and access to further resources, respectively.

‘Responsible Gambling Fundamentals’ will educate individuals about the basic risks of problem gambling, addiction and how to gamble responsibly.

‘Staying in Control’ will aim to help people recognize signs of problem gambling and offer guidance on how to stay in control, detailing key concepts such as self-exclusion, betting logs and deposit limits.

In addition, the ‘Protection and Support’ will provide information about more than 20 problem gambling support groups, as well as links to dedicated tools designed to protect children and young people from gambling content.

“As the online gambling market is established in America and continues to expand around the world, it is important to not lose focus on the social costs of the industry,” Gambling.com Group chief executive Charles Gillespie said.

“We are committed to being leaders in responsible gambling and ensuring that a conservative approach is adopted by the industry at large to ensure the sustainability of what is a harmless recreational activity for most people… but unfortunately not for all.”
