News

Global Gaming Women (GGW), an industry group that focuses on the development of women in the gambling sector, has appointed Cassie Stratford of Boyd Gaming as its new president.

Stratford, who is currently vice president of legal affairs and assistant general counsel for Boyd, officially began her term last month.

She replaces Christie Eickelman, vice president of global marketing for Gaming Laboratories International.

“GGW has become what it is today because of the dedication of its founding board members and sponsors in supporting and encouraging the professional advancement of women in gaming,” Stratford said.

“It is such an exciting time for our industry, and I am honored to have the opportunity to work with this impressive group of leaders to continue to advance GGW’s important mission.”

Meanwhile, GGW also added five new members to its board of directors for the term from 2021 through to 2023.

Dorothy Costa, senior vice president of people and transformation of IGT; Jacqueline Grace, senior vice president and general manager at Caesars Entertainment; Grainne Hurst, director corporate affairs for Entain; Siobhan Lane, chief commercial officer at Scientific Games; and Kate White, vice president of business intelligence and IT program management for Penn National Gaming all joined the GGW board.

Established by the American Gaming Association in 2016, GGW represents women across commercial, tribal, suppliers, lottery, tourism and digital. The organization currently has more than 6,000 professional women as members, with a presence in 42 states and 12 countries.
