IGT expands FanDuel platform deal across the US

International Game Technology (IGT) has expanded its sports betting and online gambling agreement with Flutter Entertainment-owned FanDuel Group to cover the entire US market.

Under the wide-reaching partnership, IGT’s PlaySports platform will power all of FanDuel’s new and existing retail sportsbooks across the US until September 2024.

This builds on an existing agreement between the two parties, which currently extends across nine states and includes the FanDuel sportsbook at Meadowlands Racing and Entertainment in New Jersey – the highest-volume sportsbook in the US.

IGT PlayDigital’s arm will also provide its PlayCasino games to FanDuel in states where the operator’s online casino platforms are live, including New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Content will include slots, blackjack, roulette and a number of other games.

“IGT is the strategic partner that we will lean on to help us expand our retail footprint across the US,” FanDuel chief executive Matt King said.

“IGT’s PlaySports platform enables us to create an intuitive, technologically driven customer experience at our world-class retail sportsbooks for our customers, while PlayCasino content enables us to deliver premium mobile casino entertainment in new and existing markets.”

IGT PlayDigital senior vice president Enrico Drago added: “IGT and FanDuel are positioned for continued success in the US and we are committed to fuelling FanDuel Sportsbooks’ sustained growth through our proven, market-ready platform, player-preferred game content and self-service betting technologies.”
