IGT lands instant games deal with D.C. Lottery

News

International Game Technology (IGT) has agreed a deal to provide instant ticket games and related services to the District of Columbia’s Office of Lottery and Gaming (DC Lottery).

Agreed by the IGT Global Solutions Corporation, the deal will see IGT provide instant ticket services such as game planning and marketing, research and analytics, graphics support, and the production and printing of instant tickets.

The agreement is only scheduled to run for one year – through to December 1, 2020 – but also allows for up to four, one-year extensions.

“Instant tickets are a product vertical that presents strong growth opportunity for the DC Lottery,” DC Lottery executive director Beth Bresnahan said. “We continuously look at ways to expand our entertainment options for players and the reach of our products at retail locations.

“The DC Lottery looks forward to continuing to deliver world-class lottery games with the help of IGT today and in the future.”

The deal builds on IGT’s existing relationship with the DC Lottery, having served as a print vendor to the Lottery since 2014.

IGT chief operating officer Jay Gendron added: “Over the last five years, IGT has worked closely with the DC Lottery to deliver games that engage their player community, attract new players, and deliver outstanding player experiences.

“IGT is pleased to continue working with the DC Lottery, and we look forward to helping the Lottery reach its sales goals by enhancing its instant ticket program with creative new content.”
