Intralot pens sports betting deal with BCLC

News

Intralot Inc, the US subsidiary of Intralot, has entered into a sports betting partnership with the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC).

Under the three-year deal, which includes an option of three annual extensions, Intralot will provide the BCLC with its Intralot Orion sports betting platform Orion and relevant managed services to enable the operations and management of the BCLC’s retail sportsbook.

Intralot’s retail sports betting solution will be deployed and offered across the BCLC’s retail network via Photon X retail terminals and GameStation self-service terminals, which are due to be installed in British Columbia this winter and also offer lottery products.

The deal also covers Intralot’s Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) solution, whereby players will be able to view the full betting offering, prepare their own digital betslips and generate a QR code from anywhere before scanning them at a retail terminal or self-service terminal.

Once deployed, the Intralot retail sports betting solution will be accessible on more than 700 self-service terminals and at 3,400 clerk operated terminals across the Canadian province.

“We are excited to extend our partnership with BCLC in the sports betting sector,” Intralot Inc. chairman Nikos Nikolakopoulos said. “We are looking forward to a close cooperation with the Lottery in order to provide an enhanced retail player experience and responsibly drive the Lottery’s growth to further benefit the British Columbia community.”
