Intralot pens sports betting deal with New Hampshire Lottery

News

Intralot has agreed to expand its existing deal with the New Hampshire Lottery in order to provide it with retail sports betting solutions at locations across the state.

Under the agreement, Intralot will offer sports wagering at over 1,300 existing lottery retailers in New Hampshire. Intralot that said it expects to roll out the service in early 2020.

The deal builds on existing partnership between the two parties, under which Intralot has been supplying lottery products and solution to the Lottery since 2010.

“Through this contract amendment to provide our leading sports betting technology, we will power the New Hampshire Lottery and will expand its well-established operation with new and exciting entertainment options while attracting a new demographic of players,” Intralot’s interim chief executive, Byron Boothe, said.

“We look forward to continue working together with the Lottery to maximize sales growth and ensure increased returns in a socially responsible way for the State and its citizens.”

Nikos Nikolakopoulos, group deputy chief executive at Intralot, added: “The newly introduced sports betting offering to the state gives us the opportunity to deploy our next generation solutions and in-field expertise ensuring an unparalleled player experience for its citizens.”

Earlier this week, the New Hampshire Executive Council voted to approve the state lottery’s decision to award DraftKings an exclusive contract to operate sports betting in the Granite State.

While legislation signed into law by Governor Chris Sununu in July allows for up to 10 retail sportsbook locations and five mobile offerings, it appears DraftKings will serve as the state’s sole betting operator.
