Jacobs Entertainment to bring SuperBook to Colorado

News

Jacobs Entertainment has struck a deal that will see Nevada-based sportsbook operator SuperBook move into the state.

SuperBook, via the new operating company SBOpco, will launch at Jacob’s The Lodge and Gilpin Casinos in Black Hawk, Colorado, available both online and with a retail presence in each venue.

Pending approval from the Colorado Gaming Commission, it will also launch its SuperContest product, which runs throughout the American football season, giving players the chance to win significant prizes.

The brand is currently active as a mobile application throughout Nevada, with a flagship location at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino. The launch in Colorado will mark the first time the brand has been available beyond Nevada’s borders.

We believe The Lodge is a perfect fit for our initial expansion opportunities outside Las Vegas,” SuperBook executive vice president of race and sportsbook operations Jay Kornegay commented.

“We have maintained the highest levels of technology and service in a highly-regulated industry. We have written the playbook on sports betting in the US, and now we will put it in action in Colorado.”

The Lodge and Gilpin Casinos were both awarded master licenses by Colorado’s Limited Gaming Control Commission on April 2. SuperBook, via SBOpco, is to have its applications for temporary retail and online licences considered by the Commission at its next meeting on April 16.

Jacobs Entertainment has also allowed theScore, the sports media giant turned betting operator, to enter Colorado under its master license.
