Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment names Madigan as new COO

News

Integrated casino resorts operator Mohegan Gaming & Entertainment (MGE) has appointed Jody Madigan as its new chief operating officer.

Madigan will oversee both the development and execution of short and long-term strategic business plans across all MGE properties.

Reporting to MGE’s president and chief executive Ray Pineault, Madigan will also lead the general managers of MGE’s properties and ensure all strategic planning is in alignment with the operator’s executive leadership group and the Mohegan Tribe.

Madigan joined MGE after a spell as the general manager of the Paragon Casino and Resort in Marksville, Louisiana, a role in which he oversaw the opening of the first retail sportsbook in the state, and a major remodel of the on-site hotel.

He also spent time as vice president of strategic execution and business development for Seneca Gaming, spent two years as assistant general manager for Mountaineer Casino, and one year as president and general manager for Silver Entertainment’s Casino Miami.

“We are pleased to welcome Jody to our executive leadership team to ensure business strategy alignment and continuity across all of our properties,” Pineault said.

“With more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality and casino gaming industry, Jody’s leadership and expertise will contribute to MGE’s continued growth and success.”

The appointment comes after MGE last month reported a revenue increase of 206.1% year-on-year in its results for the third quarter of 2021, ended June 30.
