PointsBet Canada partners Daily Faceoff and Nation Network


Online gambling operator PointsBet has agreed a deal for its PointsBet Canada division to become the exclusive sports betting partner of ice hockey sites and the Nation Network.

Under the agreement, PointsBet will have a presence on and be integrated into The Nation Network and its collection of affiliated sites.

Canada-facing is a fantasy statistics and information hub for sports bettors, publishing professional insights, opinion pieces, inside information, news and statistical analysis to 1.5 million monthly users.

The Nation Network operates a 12-website network, including its flagship site, offering stories, social posts, videos and podcasts to five million users across Canada.

The partnership with PointsBet will allow and Nation Network site users to view PointsBet odds, analysis from PointsBet experts and access to a range of tools to inform their daily sports experience across platforms.

“As PointsBet looks to establish a genuine connection with sports fans in Canada, there was no better place for us to start than the Daily Faceoff and the Nation Network’s loyal and dedicated following,” PointsBet Canada chief commercial officer Nic Sulsky said.

“We are excited about what we can do to integrate our vision, product, and consumer-first mentality into their authentic mix of content.”

Nation Network and co-founder and chief executive, Jay Downton, added: “PointsBet is our ideal partner, an organization that understands the community that The Nation Network and has built.

The deal follows the legalization of single-event sports betting in Canada, with consumers now able to place legal wagers on single sports games or events for the first time.
