Scientific Games has signed an extension to its long-term technology partnership with Canadian provincial lottery operator Loto-Québec.

The renewed deal will run through to January 31, 2022 and extends a relationship that began 50 years ago.

Scientific Games will continue to create instant games and hybrid lottery games for Loto-Québec. It pas produced more than 4,500 instant games for the lottery over the last five decades, including unique products such as Ultime, La Poule aux Oeufs d’Or, and Boîte à Bingo.

Games are produced for Loto-Québec, as well as four other Canadian provincial lotteries, at Scientific Games’ manufacturing facility in Montreal, Québec.

“Scientific Games produced Loto-Québec’s very first instant game 50 years ago, and the tradition of our partnership will continue through this contract extension,” Loto-Québec’s senior director for strategy and marketing communications Marie-Claudel Lalonde said.

“Together, we have innovated creative games to entertain Québec players and generate funding for vital programs in the province.”

Scientific Games’ senior vice president for instant products John Schulz added: “Our entire team in Montreal looks forward to continuing to advance the lottery’s game innovation for the enjoyment of Québec players with products driven by analytics and insights that are unmatched in the lottery industry.”
