Scientific Games extends with Resorts Digital in NJ

News

Scientific Games has signed a multi-year extension to its New Jersey-facing content supply deal with Resorts Digital.

Under the renewed deal, Scientific Games will continue to support the Resorts-operated Resorts Casino and Mohegan Sun Casino sites with its OpenGaming platform.

This allows Resorts to provide customers with access to a range of proprietary and third-party content through the Open Gaming System (OGS), as well as its OpenPlatform player account management platform.

Resorts, which is partnered with sub-licensees DraftKings and PokerStars in New Jersey, has been working with Scientific Games in the state since 2015.

“Scientific Games has been an integral supplier for Resorts’ digital operations for a number of years, which helped make it a simple decision to maintain our successful partnership,” Resorts chief executive Ed Andrewes said.

“The content provided seamlessly via OpenGaming plays a big part in making ResortsCasino.com one of New Jersey’s go-to online casinos.”

Scientific Games Digital group chief executive digital Jordan Levin added: “The renewal rubber stamps the strength of our working relationship and of our OpenGaming portfolio.

“We look forward to driving the partnership forward to ever higher levels and increased gains for both parties.”

The renewal comes as the online gambling market in New Jersey continues to grow, with igaming revenue in July reaching $87.5m, up 122.5% from the same month in 2019.

Golden Nugget led this sector with $31.5m in revenue, up 11.3% year-on-year, ahead of Resorts Digital with $18.0m – which includes contributions from sub-licensees DraftKings and PokerStars as well as the Resorts and Mohegan revenue – and Borgata on $15.3m.
