Gambling consultancy Spectrum Gaming Group has promoted Juliann Barreto from director of finance to the role of chief financial officer.
Barreto joined Spectrum in May 2018 and has served as director of finance for the entire time. During this time, Barreto also worked as chief financial officer for financial and risk consultancy firm NFC Global.
Prior to this, Barreto had been chief financial officer at restaurant and real estate firm Aoki Group.
Barreto had worked with the gambling industry since 2007, advising private equity firms in hospitality and casino acquisitions for financial services firm Ernst & Young.
In November 2019, Spectrum won the tender process to conduct a long-awaited study into the expansion of New York State’s gaming market.
The study will examine the effect of allowing mobile sports betting and igaming in the Empire State as well as expanding its land-based market.
