Sports data company Stats Perform have signed a deal with America’s leading soccer league, Major League Soccer (MLS), and football association US Soccer, to collect, analyze and distribute official league data.

Stats Perform will provide official data to betting firms for all MLS matches, as well as for the US men’s and women’s national teams and the US Soccer-run US Open Cup.

This will be the first time time MLS and US Soccer will offer an official data feed specifically intended for sports betting operators.

“We’re delighted to announce we have been chosen as the exclusive global data partner for MLS and US Soccer,” Alex Rice, chief rights officer at Stats Perform, said.

“As a trusted partner of MLS for over 10 years and US Soccer for three years, we look forward to delivering the highest quality data to create the best experiences for fans and bettors, while continuing to support the growth of soccer in North America.”

The deal was facilitated by Soccer United Marketing, which has been US Soccer’s marketing partner for 15 years.

“Soccer United Marketing is proud to facilitate the execution of this expansive, long-term partnership between Stats Perform, MLS and US Soccer,” Chris Schlosser, senior vice president for media at Soccer United Marketing commented.

“We are excited to partner with Stats Perform to create MLS and US Soccer’s first official data feed optimized for sports betting.

“As the betting landscape continues to evolve, it is important that quality and accurate data are available to power sports betting experiences and Stats Perform is a proven global leader in the creation of soccer betting data feeds.”

The Stats Perform Integrity Unit will also support MLS and US Soccer by monitoring betting data and working with rights holders and the industry to protect competitions from corruption.
