Super Group proposes sale of B2B division to Games Global


Betway parent company Super Group has reached an agreement to sell the non-core B2B division of the recently acquired Digital Gaming Corporation (DGC) to Games Global.

Super Group only purchased the business, which owns the rights to the Betway brand in the US, last month, having originally agreed terms on the acquisition in January 2022.

DGC is live in a total of eight states across the US – Iowa, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Arizona, Colorado, Indiana, Virginia and Ohio – exclusively licensing Super Group’s Betway brand in each of these markets. Plans are also in place to launch in Louisiana.

Games Global is a newcomer to the igaming industry, having entered the sector in May last year following the purchase of Microgaming’s distribution business, game IP and progressive jackpot network, as well as interest in a variety of game studios. The business services more than 200 customers around the world.

Subject to regulatory approvals in the US, the sale of DGC to Games Global is expected to complete in the second half of 2023.

“Disposing of DGC’s B2B division makes commercial sense and will allow us to continue to focus solely on our B2C growth in the United States,” Super Group chief executive Neal Menashe said.

“We have been using Games Global’s award-winning content for many years and we are very confident the DGC B2B division will be in great hands. We wish them all the best.”

Games Global chief executive Walter Bugno added: “The acquisition of DGC B2B is an extremely exciting opportunity, accelerating Games Global’s entry into the rapidly growing US igaming market.

“Such a positive move will enable us to access some of the best operators in the sector and provide a fantastic platform from which to leverage our portfolio of over 50 partner studios, more than 3,000 proprietary games and a record-breaking progressive jackpot network, including Mega Moolah and Wow Pot, which have paid out over €1.5bn since inception.”
