William Hill launches in Colorado with Caesars

News

Sports betting operator William Hill has launched in Colorado with six kiosks at Caesars Entertainment’s Isle Casino Hotel and Lady Luck Casino in Black Hawk.

Isle Casino Hotel and Lady Luck Casino were operated by Eldorado Resorts prior to the operator’s merger with Caesars Entertainment and decision to go by the Caesars brand name. William Hill agreed a deal to operate the sportsbook at Eldorado’s properties in Colorado and Iowa in 2018.

“We are thrilled to bring another amenity our valued guests can enjoy in our newly renovated Casino,” Isle Casino Hotel and Lady Luck Casino Black Hawk Senior Vice President and General Manager Ken Ostempowski said.

“Our strategic partnership with William Hill will create an elevated gaming experience that features industry-leading wagering technology and allows us to further our position as Colorado’s premiere location to gamble.”

The timing of the launch coincides with the start of the 2020 Major League Baseball (MLB) season, the first of the ‘big four’ US sports league to begin play since the novel coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic led to a suspension of almost all major sports across the globe.

“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to expand our business in the state of Colorado with these new kiosks,”  David Grolman, President of Retail Operations at William Hill US, said. “Our relationship with Caesars Entertainment allows us to engage with Colorado sports fans in a new and exciting way.”

“With the recent return of professional baseball, we think the timing could not be better.”

The operator said it will provide localized futures and odds “catered specifically for the Colorado market” as part of its offering.

William Hill also intended to launch mobile wagering in Colorado before the start of the NFL season in September. It received an online sports betting license for the state in April.
