Betfred moves into Pennsylvania with Wind Creek

News

Bookmaker Betfred is to roll out its services in Pennsylvania after agreeing a new deal with Wind Creek Casino & Resort Bethlehem to operate retail, mobile and online sports wagering.

Subject to regulatory approval, Betfred will operate a new sportsbook facility at the casino, as well as run mobile and online betting across the state.

Betfred, which agreed the deal through it Betfred USA Sports division, will also provide compliance, support, marketing and trading for the new partnership.

“We look forward to the opportunity to work with Betfred to offer sports betting at Wind Creek Bethlehem; their experience and leadership in the sports betting market gives us confidence that Betfred is an excellent partner as Wind Creek Bethlehem expands gaming offerings in Pennsylvania,” Wind Creek’s hospitality president James Dorris said.

Betfred Group chief operating officer Mark Stebbings added: “Betfred have been providing sports betting in the UK for over 50 years and we are delighted to partner with Wind Creek Bethlehem where we will share our joint expertise.

“As part of our partnership we will provide excellent service and value for the sports bettors both on premise at Wind Creek Bethlehem and online to the wider population of Pennsylvania.”

The deal comes after Betfred last week also entered a new partnership with the Saratoga Casino Black Hawk, under which it will offer sports wagering services throughout the state of Colorado.

Betfred will open a full sportsbook at the Saratoga Casino property in Black Hawk, Colorado, as well as offer mobile and online betting across the state.

Upon launching in Pennsylvania and Colorado, Betfred will be active in three US states, having entered the market last July by agreeing to provide sports betting technology and operations to the Elite Casino Resort-owned Grand Falls Casino Resort in Iowa.

That venue has scheduled a grand opening its 8,500 square foot sportsbook on January 30, which features 80 screens, 10 recliners, 22 lounging chairs, 2 reservable VIP areas, 5 high top tables, a full bar and food service.

“We’re very proud of our partnership with Elite Casino Resorts to bring a Las Vegas quality sportsbook to Grand Falls Casino and sports bettors in Sioux Falls, Northwest Iowa and South-Westt Minnesota,” Betfred USA chief operating officer Bryan Bennett commented.

Grand Falls already provides a fantastic gaming and resort experience to its patrons and we look forward to adding to that with the Betfred Sportsbook.”
