BetMGM extends partnership with Detroit Red Wings

News

BetMGM, the online gaming  joint venture between MGM Resorts International and GVC Holdings, has renewed and extended its partnership with National Hockey League (NHL) team the Detroit Red Wings.

The deal sees BetMGM continue to benefit from its presence at the home of the Red Wings, Little Caesars Arena, through the inclusion of an on-ice logo, in-venue signage and fan promotions, as well as a sponsored presence on the Red Wings’ digital platforms.

In addition, the District Detroit mobile app will feature BetMGM’s Stats Module, providing Red Wings fans with access to betting odds and statistics from next season.

“We’re thrilled to expand our relationship with BetMGM,” the team’s senior vice president of corporate partnerships Peter Kent said. “We’ll continue to work together to provide innovative and engaging experiences for the fans of Hockeytown.”

Chief marketing officer for BetMGM Matt Prevost added: “The Red Wings are an iconic part of Michigan and the city of Detroit and have been a great partner to both BetMGM and MGM Resorts.

“Little Caesars Arena is just steps away from the BetMGM Sports Lounge at [the] MGM Grand Detroit, and as BetMGM continues to build its hockey offerings, we look forward to welcoming Red Wings fans before and after games.”

This month, BetMGM expanded its igaming and sports betting offerings by extending partnerships with industry suppliers Scientific Games and BetGenius.

The agreement will see the operator roll out Scientific Games’ OpenGaming product suite, and BetGenius’ same-game-parlay product, powered by BetBuilder.

The operator continues to educate its players on responsible gambling, through the use of GameSense, a program developed by the British Columbia Lottery Corporation (BCLC), and licensed to MGM Resorts to provide positive, transparent and proactive conversations with players about how to gamble responsibly.
