Betway scores new partnership with NBA’s Bucks

News

Super Group’s online betting and gaming brand Betway has entered into a multi-year partnership with National Basketball Association (NBA) franchise the Milwaukee Bucks.

The agreement will see Betway serve as the Bucks’ official gaming partner and benefit from in-arena branding throughout the team’s Fiserv Forum home arena,

Betway branding will also appear on the Bucks’ digital assets as part of the ‘Betway Game Rewind’, a new feature highlighting the Bucks’ last match-up against their current opponent across the team’s social media channels.

The deal means Betway now has deals in place with nine NBA teams; the Chicago Bulls, Cleveland Cavaliers, Golden State Warriors, Los Angeles Clippers, Minnesota Timberwolves, Philadelphia 76ers, Miami Heat and Dallas Mavericks.

Betway is also partnered with National Hockey League (NHL) teams the Los Angeles Kings, New York Islanders, New Jersey Devils and Philadelphia Flyers.

“Adding to our already impressive portfolio in the NBA, we’re very happy to welcome Milwaukee Bucks to our family of partners,” Betway’s chief executive Anthony Werkman said. “The Bucks are having a great season in the NBA and we’re looking forward to sharing the thrill of their successes together.

Bucks chief business development and strategy officer Matt Pazaras added: “Betway has been a fantastic partner to work with from the start and we look forward to growing our relationship with one of the premier online betting and gaming brands in the world.”

The growing partnership roster is designed to support its parent company Super Group’s US expansion. Super Group merged with special purpose acquisition business Sports Entertainment Acquisition Corp (SEAC) last month and listed on the Nasdaq.

Since the initial agreement with Sports Entertainment was struck in April last year, Betway has launched in five states – Iowa, Indiana, Colorado, New Jersey and Pennsylvania – with market access agreed for an additional six.
