Churchill Downs launches igaming in Pennsylvania, online betting in three states

News

Churchill Downs Incorporated (CDI) has announced the debut of its Twinspires Sports app in the states of Indiana and Colorado, and the launch of the TwinSpires Casino and Sports app in Pennsylvania ahead of the 2021 Kentucky Derby.

TwinSpires customers within the states will have access to sports betting across various professional sports including NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL and PGA, in addition to collegiate sports and events from around the world.

Online casino players in Pennsylvania will have the choice of classic casino games such as blackjack and roulette, as well as a large selection of online slots and live dealer games.

TwinSpires president Ian Williams said the launch was well timed ahead of Churchill Downs’ signature event, the Kentucky Derby, this weekend.

“We are excited to offer our state-of-the-art sportsbook app and market leading promotions in Indiana, Pennsylvania and Colorado a week before our biggest event of the year, the Kentucky Derby,” he said.

“Because we are backed by Churchill Downs, the home of the Kentucky Derby, we can leverage nearly 150 years of wagering history to offer the best sports betting experience. Now players in these states can place their bets on both sports and next Saturday’s Run for the Roses through TwinSpires.”

CDI first rebranded its sportsbook and online gaming offerings to TwinSpires in January, bringing it under the same brand as its online pari-mutuel betting product.

It has subsequently launched in several states, including Michigan and Tennessee.
