Peer-to-peer sports betting exchange Prophet has announced three new appointments to vice president positions.

Thomas Phillips has been appointed as VP of marketing. Phillips has 14 years experience in the sports betting and gambling industries, starting with InterCasino in 2007. He joined the marketing team in Betfair Exchange in 2009 and moved to Ladbrokes in 2013. In 2018, Phillips became a digital marketing consultant for betting and gaming brands.

“I am thrilled to be joining Prophet as VP of Marketing,” said Phillips.

“Having previously worked with Dean [Sisun, Prophet chief executive and co-founder] and Jake [Benzaquen, Prophet COO and co-founder] in the UK market, I am looking forward to joining a dynamic and innovative team that is set to make the industry stand-up and take notice.”

Mark Garrigan, who most recently held the role of director of market strategy at FanDuel, has been appointed as VP of strategy. Garrigan has over 11 years of experience in the casino and technology sectors, beginning with MGM Resorts International in 2011.

“We have a team that is extremely eager, believe in this unique product we will be bringing to the market, and laser focused on the customer,” said Garrigan.

“There is nothing more exciting than planning for a go-live.”

The third appointment went to Michael Halperin, who has become the new VP of operations. In his most recent role, Halperin held the position of VIP promotions & strategy at DraftKings. His career in the betting industry began in 2017 at Chalkline Sports.

“I am beyond excited to be joining Prophet as VP of Operations,” commented Halperin.

“Prophet’s commitment to building a customer-focused betting exchange will make it the top choice for players looking to get bigger and better returns on their wagers.”

Prophet announced its launch through a deal with Caesars Entertainment in July.
