William Hill launches online and mobile sports betting in Indiana

News

William Hill has announced the launch of its online and mobile sports wagering offering in the state of Indiana.

Consumers in the state can access the William Hill sportsbook app and website from anywhere inside Indiana’s borders.

William Hill’s website and app feature a range of markets and bet types including live in-play wagering, as well as live scoring game casts and a number of deposit and withdrawal options.

The bookmaker now offers mobile sports betting in seven states, with its offering also live in Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Nevada, New Jersey and West Virginia, while it also powers trading services for the Rhode Island Lottery mobile app.

William Hill has had a presence in Indiana for a number of years, having initially launched a retail sportsbook in partnership with Tropicana Casino in Evansville.

This was made possible through its existing agreement with Eldorado Resorts, which, agreed in September 2018, had seen William Hill serve as its exclusive partner in the provision of digital and land-based sports betting, as well as online gaming

Shortly after signing this deal, Eldorado acquired Tropicana Entertainment for $1.85bn, which allowed William Hill to begin working with the Tropicana Casino Indiana property.

The Indiana launch also marks the latest stage of William Hill’s ongoing growth effort in the US, which has been made possible after Eldorado acquired the legacy Caesars Entertainment business in July.

This deal saw the existing agreement with Eldorado extended to Caesars casino properties, with William Hill having since opened two new sports betting facilities at two Caesars Entertainment properties in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

William Hill this month also expanded its presence in Pennsylvania by opening a new retail sportsbook at Harrah’s Philadelphia in Chester County, again as a result of the expanded Caesars partnership.
