WynnBet becomes Detroit Pistons’ fourth sportsbook partner

News

WynnBet, the casino and sports betting app operated by land-based giant Wynn Resorts, has partnered the Detroit Pistons, becoming the fourth sports operator to strike a deal with the NBA franchise.

The multi-year deal will see the partners work on a series of co-branded marketing campaigns, including a direct-to-consumer promotion Wynn Wednesdays.

Available through the WynnBet app and website, it will offer fans opportunities to win prizes such as memorabilia, tickets and VIP experiences each Wednesday during the Pistons’ regular season.

WynnBet will also offer in-person activations throughout the Pistons’ Little Caesars Arena, including in-suite hospitality and pop-up experiences. The brand will also feature heavily across the team’s gameday radio programs, mobile app and social channels.

The deal further strengthens the brand’s partnership roster, which has expanded with the additions of the Memphis Grizzlies and Nascar in recent months.

As part of its Nascar deal, it will also become the official online sportsbook of the Martinsville Speedway and Richmond Raceway in Virginia once it is licensed in the state.

The Pistons, meanwhile, has signed up a host of new partners in the run-up to Michigan’s online betting and gaming market launching on 22 January. It announced deals with DraftKings and FanDuel in November 2020, followed by an agreement with PointsBet in January this year.
