Amelco given green light for Colorado expansion

News

Sports betting software and trading services provider Amelco has secured regulatory approval to power the launch of a second sportsbook in Colorado.

Amelco is already active in Colorado via its partnership with The Stars Group’s Fox Bet brand, and has now been approved to launch BetWildwood, a joint venture with ISI Race & Sports.

This will be the first online sportsbook to launch under Wildwood Casino in Cripple Creek’s online  betting license, and is due to go live later in July.

“I’m delighted to announce that Amelco has added another license to our growing list of US states where will be doing business – highlighting our platform’s capability to meet any compliance requirement,” Amelco’s head of business development Brandon Walker said.

“As well as the Stars Group, we’re set to deliver Wildwood Casino’s first online sports betting offering, one of Cripple Creek’s most popular VIP-centric locations, with a series of further major sports wagering partnerships due to be announced later in the year.”

The approval comes after Amelco in February agreed a strategic partnership with Atlantis Gaming Corporation to produce a fully serviced sportsbook offering for 450 tribal casinos across 28 states in the US.

The agreement covers the development of a turnkey solution for sportsbook operations across retail, mobile, online and self-service sports betting, subject to regulatory approval.

Earlier this week, Gaming Innovation Group also secured a new vendor minor sports betting license for its flagship affiliate website World Sports Network (WSN.com) in Colorado.
