Betway expands NBA commercial portfolio with Miami Heat deal

News

Online gambling operator Betway has announced Miami Heat as its latest partner from the National Basketball Association (NBA).

The multi-year deal will see Betway become an official partner and the preferred free-to-play gaming partner of the franchise.

Betway will also benefit from a branding presence on surfaces inside the team’s FTX Arena, including LED courtside and baseline apron signage.

“Following further growth in the US, we’re thrilled to be partnering with the Miami Heat,” Betway chief executive Anthony Werkman said. “Miami is a fantastic city where sport is a huge passion, and we look forward to sharing the thrill with fans of the three-time NBA championship winning side.”

Miami Heat vice president of corporate partnerships, Glen Oskin, added: “With a proven track record as a global brand, Betway made a huge splash as it entered the US market.

“Betway is an industry leader, and we couldn’t be happier to have it as a partner.”

Miami Heat becomes the eighth NBA franchise to partner with Betway, after the operator this week also agreed a deal with the Philadelphia 76ers.

Agreements are also in place with the Dallas Mavericks, Brooklyn Nets, Chicago Bulls, Cleveland Cavaliers, LA Clippers and Golden State Warriors.
