FanDuel, DraftKings become official NBA betting partners with expanded partnerships

News

FanDuel and Draftkings have expanded their partnerships with the National Basketball Association (NBA), which will see the companies become the league’s official betting partners.

The multi-year partnership has granted FanDuel and DraftKings further marketing, content, and digital rights to integrate NBA assets within its sports betting, daily fantasy sports, and online casino platforms.

FanDuel also announced a deal with the National Basketball Player’s Association (NBPA), granting it access to player images for use in content and highlights.

DraftKings will become the exclusive presenting sponsor of NBABet Stream, the NBA’s betting-centric telecast which is distributed via NBA League Pass and the NBA TV app.

FanDuel president and CEO Amy Howe said: “FanDuel’s partnership with the NBA has been a cornerstone of our success for many years, and together we have revolutionized what is possible in a partnership between a professional sports league and a sports gaming operator.

“As we move into the next phase of our relationship to include the NBPA, we are excited to once again reimagine how we engage basketball fans.”

FanDuel is already the official sportsbook partner of NBA programming, having signed a deal with Turner Sports in 2020. The company has also signed agreements with NBA franchises the Memphis Grizzlies and the Detroit Pistons.

DraftKings also has agreements with NBA teams, such as the deals signed with the Indiana Pacers, Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers.

“The NBA season only just tipped off, and yet we have already seen the immediate impact of the sport among our customer base with significant reengagement along with healthy new betting activity across all of our states,” said Ezra Kucharz, chief business officer at DraftKings.

“All of this signals the rising demand for NBA basketball in its 75th anniversary season among sports bettors and daily fantasy players, and we are pleased to continuously collaborate with the league on new fan-centric platforms like our NBABet Stream integration.”
