GiG receives NJ casino service license

News

Gaming Innovation Group (GiG) subsidiary iGaming Cloud has received a five-year casino service industry enterprise license (CSIE) from the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE).

This allowing the supplier to offer its online casino platform to New Jersey operators.

The supplier applied for the licence in June 2018, with GiG already supplying its online casino and sportsbook platforms to Hard Rock International for its online casino product under the terms of a transactional waiver.

“We are delighted to receive the CSIE license after a long and comprehensive process,” GiG chief executive Richard Brown said. “This is a great achievement for GiG and gives us a solid confirmation that our platform, procedures and operations are meeting the highest standards out there.”

In February, GiG  agreed to sell its B2C assets, including the Rizk, Guts, Kaboo and Thrills brands, to Betsson for €31m to focus on its B2B and media operations. Upon closing, 63 GiG employees and full time consultants were transferred to Betsson.

In the first quarter of 2020, the supplier’s revenue declined 3.9% to €31.1m.

Last month, GiG received a new vendor minor sports betting license for its flagship affiliate website World Sports Network (WSN.com) in Colorado, as well as an affiliate license in Pennsylvania.
