Leadstar Media receives Colorado affiliate license

News

Sports betting affiliate company Leadstar Media has acquired a vendor minor sports betting license in the state of Colorado.

The entry marks the sixth state in which Leadstar has been approved to operate, having launched its first products in the US, UnitedGamblers.com and BettingScanner.com, in 2019.

The products were subsequently licensed in the New Jersey market in March 2020, and also hold authorization in Pennsylvania, Indiana, Iowa and Illinois

Leadstar has now been authorized by the Colorado Division of Gaming to partner with operators that are active in the state.

In addition to UnitedGamblers.com and BettingScanner.com, Leadstar’s Sportsbooksonline.com product will also be launched in the state under its new license.

“I’m happy to announce that we’ve been granted a license to operate in Colorado,” said Leadstar’s chief executive, Eskil Kvarnström. “The US is a very exciting market for the online sports betting industry and we can see it becoming one of our most important markets in the future.

“Colorado specifically has a huge sports interest and is home to several big league teams as well as popular college teams. In addition, it’s a state where you don’t need to register at a physical location, but can do it all online which makes it a really good state for our business model.”

Kvarnström concluded that entry into the Colorado market was a part of Leadstar’s expansion plan and represented its ambition to become a leading sports betting affiliate.
