Sports betting and daily fantasy sports operator DraftKings has secured its first deal with a professional golfer by entering a partnership with US player Bryson DeChambeau.
The integrated brand, content, marketing and VIP-centric collaboration will see the DraftKings logo feature on DeChambeau’s golf cap when he plays.
The agreement will also offer DraftKings customers the chance to win personal experiences with DeChambeau, including golf lessons and rounds of golf.
“The gaming industry has already helped golf reach broader audiences, and I am proud to work with DraftKings on boosting fan excitement and engagement in the game,” DeChambeau said.
DraftKings co-founder and chief executive Jason Robins added: “Professional golf has been a key growth sport in both daily fantasy and sports betting, and our collaboration with Bryson DeChambeau is a notable new layer of mainstream brand exposure and fan experience.”
The deal marks DraftKings’ latest partnership in the US, having last month also secured a deal with the Turner Sports arm of WarnerMedia, under which it will serve as the exclusive sportsbook and DFS provider on select Turner Sports and Bleacher Report properties.
DraftKings last month also entered a partnership with National Football League franchise the Philadelphia Eagles, with the operator now serving as the official daily fantasy sports partner and official sports betting partner of the team.
